AM2 com apenas um pente de memória

AM2 gains little from dual channel memory
Single memory module welcome

"WE HEARDshocking news from a chap that tests PCs for a living. He revealed to us that he got the best 3D score on Socket AM2 with an overclocked machine and just one single memory module.
It turns out that the new CPUs with DDR 2 support inside won't need dual channel memory. They will run just slightly faster than the single DDR 2 modules.

I am currently completing a review of an MSI Megabook S271 with an AMD Turion 64 X2 dual core. This uses the DDR 2 socket SG1, a mobile version of socket AM2 and I found out that the machine was really fast with a single memory module. This proves the theory, and the chap said that adding the second memory module will just slightly increase the overall performance.

This cannot be better news for overclockers as it is always easier to overclock a single memory module then two of them. We will of course check these claims in the lab as soon as we find some time."

"This cannot be better news for overclockers as it is always easier to overclock a single memory module then two of them."

Como não faço overclock...
