Destiny 2 Year 4 sugere que Destiny 3 não chegará tão cedo
Bungie fala das novidades que estão a caminho

Luke Smith, director de Destiny 2 na Bungie, falou sobre o actual estado do jogo e das mudanças que esperam implementar para o seu quarto ano de vida.

A menção de Destiny 2 Year 4 parece sugerir fortemente que Destiny 3 não chegará tão cedo, pelo menos não em 2020, mas de acordo com o que foi revelado por Smith, Destiny 2 Year 4 promete ser igualmente entusiasmante e repleto de novidades.

Segundo diz, a Bungie apostará menos em actividades que desaparecem no final de cada Season e te obrigam a estar lá no momento em que acontecem ou perderás para sempre a oportunidade de participar.

"O que estamos a discutir agora, cedo o suficiente para que as coisas possam mudar, é como focamos os nossos esforços em torno das Seasons de uma perspectiva de desenvolvimento, enquanto também tentamos criar momentos que originam memórias, E AINDA equilibrar a quantidade de 'medo de perder a oportunidade.' É um equilíbrio difícil, se estes elementos não se interligarem, muitas vezes funcionam uns contra os outros."

As seasons de Destiny 2 Year 3 foram criticadas pela aposta exagerada em actividades FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), o que motiva a Bungie a apostar em conteúdos que não vão desaparecer após alguns meses.

"Continuamos a desenvolver a narrativa do mundo, podemos investir no mundo em evolução dos nossos espaços públicos e trabalhar mais para evoluir as actividades principais de Destiny 2."

Apesar de falar em Destiny 2 Year 4 e no desejo em evoluir o núcleo do jogo, Smith relembra que existe um limite para o crescimento deste Destiny 2 e não esperes vê-lo tornar-se numa espécie de World of Warcraft.

Uma das mudanças a caminho que demonstra as possíveis dificuldades que a Bungie sente em equilibrar as armas Lendárias em Destiny 2 é a mudança na sua abordagem. No futuro, estas armas terão um período para se manterem actuais. Por enquanto, as Exóticas não sofrerão ajustes.

"A simples versão de como isto funcionará é: as Lendárias terão valores fixos para o limite de infusão. Esses valores vão projectar a duração viável dessa arma e acreditamos que o período de vida será algures entre 9 e 15 meses."

A partir da próxima Season 10, Destiny 2 removerá da Everserse Store os Bright Engrams pois acredita que os Guardiões merecem transparência e saber o que vão adquirir em troca do seu dinheiro.

Bungie encerra estúdio e vai trabalhar remotamente para evitar o coronavírus
Season of the Worthy de Destiny 2 continua prevista para 10 de Março.

As consequências do coronavírus (Covid-19) continuam a alastrar-se pela indústria dos videojogos.

Com o coronavírus a espalhar-se cada vez mais nos Estados Unidos, em particular numa área de Seattle perto dos escritórios da Bungie, a companhia responsável pelo jogo Destiny anunciou que vai encerrar o estúdio e que os seus funcionários vão continuar a trabalhar remotamente.

A Bungie já estava a preparar-se para esta eventualidade há semanas e, garantindo que a saúde e segurança dos seus funcionários é a mais alta prioridade, activou uma infraestrutura de trabalho remoto que permite aos funcionários a realização das suas tarefas normais.

"Isto inclui a entrega dos nossos planos actuais, a manutenção de Destiny 2, bem como o contínuo desenvolvimento do jogo", escreveu a equipa de Destiny no site oficial da Bungie.

Todos os funcionários da Bungie à escala global vão agora trabalhar nesta infraestrutura de trabalho remoto. A Bungie admite que isto pode afectar a cadência de actualizações do jogo a curto prazo, mas garante que a Season of the Worthy permanece com data de lançamento a 10 de Março.

Os Trials of Osiris de Destiny 2 continuam também agendados para 13 de Março.

    • Elite, Mini-Boss, and Boss nameplates will now correctly display as "friendly" when invading during Gambit matches.
    • The Hunter Tempest strike melee ability can now be performed when using PC controls where Sprint is set to "Hold".
    • Titan Sunbreaker melee ability "Mortar Blast" will now more consistently deliver its detonation damage in Crucible.
    • Friendly projectiles that travel along the ground will pass through ally Titan Banner Shields. Burning Maul and Voidwall Grenade are examples of abilities that generate ground follow projectiles.
    • Hunter exotic "Liar's Handshake" Cross Counter melee damage buff will now expire as intended after picking up a carry object (such as a Forge Battery)
    • Fixed an issue where Hunter's would remain off radar for too long when coming out of invisibility while crouched.
    • Getting killed by "The Cut and Run" scout rifle now properly displays an Obituary icon in the battle feed.

    • The Sound effects from Warlock exotic "Transversive Steps" will now trigger only when a player has reserve ammo to refill their current weapon's magazine.
    • Black Armory Schematics can now be dismantled. Dismantling will delete a single Schematic from the stack.
    • Obtaining the MIDA Catalyst is no longer impeded by playing with Clanmates. Drop rates were adjusted and now properly scale with the Clan "Catalyst Seeker" Perk bonus.
      • Added drop chance for wins at Glory Rank 3 Fabled (5% without Clan bonus, 10% with Clan bonus)

Percebi que o que mais joguei ano passado foi Destiny 2 , aí olhei pro meu backlog de jogo e parei de jogar Destiny 2, não tem jeito, leva muito tempo pra correr atrás das armaduras/armas e tem muita coisa pra fazer no jogo, ele suga o tempo e o tempo voa sem eu perceber e nem tenho tanto tempo assim pra jogar então aposentei o dito.

Destiny 2 agora só quando eu acabar com meu backlog ou quando lançarem o Destiny 3 em algum momento, aí eu volto.

Num dos tópicos mais populares no Reddit de Destiny, o Guardian Games é descrito como "objectivamente o evento com menor esforço na história de Destiny 2". A principal crítica dos jogadores são as tarefas do evento, que se resumem a completar Bounties nas mesmas actividades de sempre.

Logo no início desta nova Season, começou a circular a piada de que o jogo se tinha transformado não num jogo de loot, mas num Bounty Simulator. Os Guardian Games são a encarnação dessa piada e os jogadores não estão contentes. Para além das tarefas mundanas, os jogadores queixam-se da falta de loot e incentivos.

Como parte dos Guardian games podes ganhar três Ghosts exóticos e uma nova arma exótica, todavia, há quem se queixe que nem sequer há um novo conjunto de armadura para ganhar (existe apenas um item de classe). A Bungie decidiu reagir ao feedback da comunidade e está pronta para implementar alterações para melhorar a experiência do jogador em Destiny 2.

No mais recente "This Week At Bungie", a companhia detalhou os planos para Destiny 2 e de que formas pretende melhor o ciclo de gameplay.

Além de discutir o papel das Bounties em Destiny 2, a Bungie abordou o controverso conceito FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) que parece dominar a experiência em Destiny 2 e como os jogadores podem cair num constante receio de perder conteúdo se pestanejarem.

"Os ganhos de XP e Season Rank estão actualmente equilibrados em torno de grandes contribuições das Weekly Bounties," diz a Bungie.

"A intenção era providenciar uma grande quantidade de progresso por uma pequena porção de jogo focado a cada semana, mas as Weeklies tombam aqui pois perdes enormes pedaços de progresso se falhares uma semana e estão esticadas entre pouquíssimo progresso para jogadores com apenas uma personagem e trabalho demasiado repetitivo para quem tem 3 personagens."

Apesar de não revelar detalhes específicos, a Bungie assegura que a partir da Season 12 querem melhorar isto ao trocar as Weekly Bounties por um mecanismo que dá aos jogadores um conjunto de "objectivos sem data de expiração" a cada semana que garantem imensa progressão no Rank Sazonal.

O objectivo principal é assegurar a recompensa pelos esforços é melhor e mais consistente.

Além de falar do conceito FOMO e como está a prejudicar a experiência Destiny 2, a Bungie falou sobre a optimização de XP e também sobre melhorias gerais que vão tornar Destiny 2 num melhor jogo de acompanhar.

"Queremos que seja mais fácil pegar nas bounties quando as queres fazer. Para isso, estamos à procura de mecanismos como permitir que possas aceder às bounties no Mapa de Destinos. Ainda estão distantes (pensa na Season 13), mas estão no calendário."

No entanto, a partir da Season 11, já começarás a ver melhorias nos prazos para completar bounties, para quem não fiquem a meio e não passes pela frustração de não conseguiu uma bountie porque te faltava mais uma morte com granada e o tempo terminou.

Ao longo deste "This Week At Bungie", a companhia fala da vontade de melhorar Destiny 2 e de melhorias gerais que certamente serão apreciadas pela comunidade, que forneceu o feedback que serve da base à Bungie.

 
Bungie forçada a reduzir o grind em nova quest de Destiny 2
Tem agora um multiplicador de 5 vezes.

A Bungie lançou esta semana uma nova quest para Destiny 2. Esta quest, diferente das quests normais, tem que ser completada em comunidade.

O desafio lançado pela Bungie era que fossem completadas 9 milhões de Seraph Towers - 3 milhões na EDZ, outros 3 milhões em IO, e mais 3 milhões na Lua - um evento público inaugurado pela actual Season.

Depois da comunidade se queixar do grind excessivo e de haver pouca progressão, a Bungie anunciou que fez ajustes à quest e também na dificuldade dos eventos Seraph Tower.

De acordo com a Bungie, os Champions têm um poder reduzido e a progressão do evento foi ligeiramente afinada. Além disso, a progressão da quest tem agora um multiplicador de 5x. Nos fins-de-semana o multiplicador aumenta para 10x.

A recompensa para esta quest é a mítica caçadeira Felwinter's Lie. Se jogaste Destiny 1 durante algum tempo, sabes que esta caçadeira era um pesadelo no Crucible. Será que a comunidade vai conseguir terminar a quest antes do final da Season?
