EA and DICE to gift multiplayer game this summer.

UK, January 21, 2008 - EA today announced that Battlefield Heroes, a cartoon-style addition to the popular multiplayer-led series, will be available for free download on PC this summer.
Swedish developer DICE - previously responsible for Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2 and the forthcoming free-running FPS Mirror's Edge - is in charge of the game and looks to have taken its cues from the hugely successful Team Fortress 2 with the cartoon approach. And while Battlefield Heroes is not quite the rumoured Battlefield 3, it does give PC gamers something to chew on while Xbox 360 and PS3 users get to enjoy the splendours of Battlefield: Bad Company. And all in all that's a lot of Battlefield.
We'll have more details here as they come in.
