» Thompson On G4TV: Bully Will Lead To Real World Violence
As promised, Florida lawyer and anti-video game activist Jack Thompson appeared on G4TV's Attack of the Show to debate games with violent content in general and the upcoming release of Rockstar Games' Bully in particular. Thompson, who lead a protest in front of Rockstar's offices against Bully a year ago, said on the show, "This game will lead to real world violence in schools." Thompson and Adam Sessler of G4's XPlay had a very heated exchange about the game, with Sessler saying, "It's on the face of it kind of preposterous" that Bully would cause real world violence. GameDaily's CEO Mark Friedler also spoke saying, "My two boys punch and kick each other all the time and they have never played video games. They are four and six." He added, "Creative expression is protected and at the end of the day it's the responsiblity of parents to decided what their young kids consume."
