Review comparando diretamente dois monitores é meio raro, resta pegar os reviews de cada um e analisar. O review do G5 34" no Rtings tem bastante coisa que dá pra comparar pontualmente com o review do GM34 no TFTCentral e Tom´s Hardware:
G5
The Samsung Odyssey G5 C34G55T is a very good gaming monitor. It's an ultrawide variant of the Samsung Odyssey G5 C27G55T with a 21:9 aspect ratio and 3440x1440 ...

Resumão:
PROS
- Large 34 inch screen and 3440x1440 resolution.
- 165Hz refresh rate with native FreeSync support.
- Quick response time.
- High contrast ratio to display deep blacks.
CONS
- Stand only allows for limited tilt adjustment.
- Bugs causes issues with input lag and VRR -There are a ton of bugs that cause the input lag to increase and VRR to stop working (isso seria preocupante, mas na análise eles dizem que ocorre apenas se forrem usadas frequências mais baixas que 120Hz. Usando 120Hz ou 165Hz não ocorre: "Essentially, if you plan on using VRR, make sure your refresh rate setting on the monitor is 120 or 165Hz. If you set both the monitor's and PC's settings to 165Hz, there aren't any VRR issues throughout the entire refresh rate range"
- FreeSync doesn't work over HDMI (o que não importa, quase todo mundo vai usar DP mesmo)
GM34
An exclusive first review of Cooler Master's new 34" ultrawide gaming screen. Featuring a 3440 x 1440 resolution VA panel, 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms MPRT spec and support for adaptive-sync for variable refresh rates. This is one of two models in their first venture in to the monitor market, how...

Resumão:
PROS
- High refresh rate support and adaptive sync for VRR from NVIDIA and AMD systems
- Good response times for a VA panel overall, including variable overdrive support
- High contrast ratio and common VA technology benefits
CONS
- Missing an sRGB emulation mode if you wanted to work with a smaller colour space
- MPRT mode doesn't work very well with too much trailing and strobe cross-talk
- Still some common VA black smearing from some problem pixel response times
Massive color gamut with 144Hz, HDR and FreeSync.

Resumão:
The Cooler Master GM34-CW is one of the most colorful monitors we’ve reviewed. With over 98% coverage of DCI-P3, it brings a vibrance to all content both SDR and HDR. Gaming performance is top-notch with 144Hz and both kinds of adaptive sync. If saturated color is your thing, it doesn’t get much better.
PROS
- Over 98% DCI-P3 coverage
- Bright and contrasty
- 144Hz refresh, FreeSync & G-Sync compatible
- Excellent overdrive
CONS
- Mediocre out-of-box accuracy
- No sRGB mode
- Aqui tem um usuário polonês que devolveu um GM34 por conta do Bleed excessivo, mas falou bem de outras coisas:
"My personal exprience after getting one.
I will be exchanging it / returning it, due to very bad Backlight Bleed both on Upper and Lower middle Left and Right side, porturding on mid screen at 15/100 brighness at 1-2 meters.
My settings looked different from what TFT, for example instead of Response TIme Overdrive it just says Response TIme and isntead of SLow, Fast, FAstet, my option were Low, Middle, High.
Coresponding options just different naming.
Also the stand is stiff and only decently balanced, when moving my screen whole stand is moveing, you have to use both hands and do it carefully.
Otherwise it's very good monitor, that is why I am hoping to get a replacment or return it and get from different shop.
I didn't notice any ghosting / reverse-ghosting or very very mild when scrolling websites, not when gaming when comparing to mine 24 1080p 144hz TN from 2013.
The colors are great, blacks are great (not as OLED or proper FALD), but still very good.
They look great, vivid and saturated.
G-sync works with no issues at all with my RTX2080.
Trully if I didn't have such mediocre case of Backlight Bleed I would be leaving it for next 3-4 years until OLED."
