Call Of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land Dated For PC | Video Game Deals & UK News | Dealspwn.com

Critically-acclaimed Lovecraftian strategy app Call Of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land has been officially confirmed for PC, thanks to an infernal cyclopean pact with INTEL's AppUp programme.

Red Wasp Design announced the PC version today, which will allow a wider audience to play the impressive turn-based strategy horror game. I personally awarded The Wasted Land with a solid 4/5 over at our sister site Mobot.net, along with a glowing recommendation.

The game will launch on the Intel AppUp center on 5th May 2012, price TBA. The PC version of the game runs in widescreen and has been optimised to run on laptops, Ultrabooks and desktops including support for Windows 7 touchscreens. Note that the AppUp centre client is free to download.

We've had lots of requests from fellow gamers and fans of Lovecraftian horror to bring the game to PC, and thanks to Intel's support that will now happen. It's also great to be able to get the game translated into more languages, as Lovecraft's work has a universal appeal. - designer Thomas Rawlings

For those new to the cult title, the indie game is a turn-based strategy RPG inspired by the works of cult horror writer H.P. Lovecraft. The game was developed in co-operation with Chaosium, the publishers of the cult horror role playing game, Call of Cthulhu. The game features nine 3D levels set in the trenches of World War One. In 'The Wasted Land' the player controls a team of up to six investigators charged with uncovering a deadly inhuman conspiracy underlying the clash of empires of the Great War. Barbed wire, mustard gas and machines guns will prove to be the least dangerous thing that the investigators will encounter as they venture out into No-man's land to solve the mystery of the Wasted Land. As the game progresses, the player can build up the skills, weapons and equipment of the team to suit their playing style. As well as the physical danger, the investigators must guard their sanity against the myriad horrors that threaten to destroy it.

Aí sim *-*

2012 está demais.... diomio !

Terminei o Dark Corners of Earth e achei um ótimo jogo.

Pelo visto não vai ter nada parecido, com excessão do nome, com o primeiro. Mas jogos TBS já atraem a minha crítica favorável naturalmente...

Vamos esperar pra ver. :joia:

pelo que eu vi, é baseado em uma versao que saiu pro iOS né? :hmm:

Quando eu li o título, me veio na hora a música do Metallica The Call of Ktulu
:muchwin:

Oq isso tem haver com o jogo?! Nada :haha:

Fui longe no Dark Corners of Earth, mas depois de um tempo ficou bem sacal e encostei o jogo. Não prendeu e a jogabilidade não ajudava muito.

Mas tanto faz, pq o gênero deste será outro.
