Em entrevista a times online um dos lideres de produção de GTA IV Leslie Benzies disse que o jogo consumiu o trabalho de mais de 1000 pessoas e a times acredita que o custo do jogo tenha chegado aos 100 milhões de dólares, as estimativas de vendas para a semana de estréia do jogo gira em torno de 400 milhões, ou seja a Rockstar gastou uma fortuna e vai faturar outra fortuna maior ainda

In an recent artical with timesonline.co.uk, Leslie Benzies one of the leading Gran Theft Auto IV producers stated that he suspects the overal cost to create GTA IV was around the $100million mark.
'?It's like making a theatre production, a few movies and an album all to fit into one package,? he says. He hasn't a clue how much GTA IV has cost to make but hazards a guess at $100m. About 1,000 people have had a hand in developing it. The perfectionism Houser and Benzies demand of their teams is astonishing."
Could this be the most expensive game ever created? However judging on metacritic scores its seems money well spent with it currently averaging a perfect 100 making it the highest rated game of all time ahead of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the N64 which averages at 99 on the site.
Not only that, the money spent on the game will seem small with early estimates being that it will make over $400 million in its first week of sales alone.
