I think I'm your Pseudo-Sandro today suggesting a change
. One thing that's popped up a lot in balance discussions is that Incendiary multicannons are just too good all round, so we're considering dropping them a bit and would welcome some thoughts on how far that should go.
Proposal:
Change the damage type split to 10% of base Damage as Kinetic, 95% as Thermal (down from 20%/100%).
So the raw damage per hit would be reduced (5% increase rather than 20%), and the type split is slightly stronger. Note that in either case, there is a 10% fire rate reduction that applies after the damager-per-hit buff. This change would mean that the listed raw DPS for Incendiary is lower than the base weapon (94.5% to be precise).
Some numbers to chew on for unmodified armour/shields (a rarity I know, but it's a point of comparison):
- A standard multicannon deals 120% DPS to hull, 60% DPS to shields.
- The current Incendiary mod does 111.6% DPS to hull, 118.8% DPS to shields.
- The new proposal would deal 96.5% DPS to hull, 108% DPS to shields."
